Why continue suffering from BPPV?
We have a treatment plan for patients in Lombard.

At Regeon Bone and Body Institute, we combine advanced therapeutic modalities and specialized physical therapy to correct your inner ear and permanently alleviate the dizzying symptoms of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.

Understanding BPPV

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is strictly a mechanical problem in the inner ear. It occurs when tiny calcium crystals (canaliths) become dislodged and float into the semicircular canals, confusing your balance signals.

Instead of relying on medication to simply mask the dizziness, our Lombard experts diagnose exactly which ear and canal are affected. We then use Canalith Repositioning Procedures to gently but firmly guide the displaced crystals back into the utricle where they belong, providing rapid relief.

Positional Trigger

The spinning sensation is almost always provoked by simple, sudden movements of the head up or down.

Brief but Intense

The actual spinning phase attacks are typically brief, safely fading away within about 60 seconds if you remain still.

Lingering Imbalance

A dull, persistent unsteadiness or generalized lightheadedness continues to affect you between distinct attacks.
