Why continue suffering from cervicalgia?

Understanding cervicalgia

Cervicalgia is the clinical term for neck pain that doesn't radiate significantly into the arms or legs, often localized to the back of the neck or upper shoulder region. While common, chronic cervicalgia can severely limit your ability to work, drive, or sleep comfortably.

Unlike acute injuries, cervicalgia often develops gradually from everyday stressors. Poor ergonomic setups, sustained postures while using devices, and muscle imbalances create chronic tension that locks up the cervical spine. For many Elgin residents, this results in a persistent ache that standard rest doesn't resolve.

Localized Discomfort

Cervicalgia typically presents as a dull, constant ache or sharp pain upon movement, localized to the cervical spine without significant nerve radiation.

Muscle Stiffness & Spasms

Protective muscle guarding limits range of motion, making it difficult to turn your head effectively while driving or working.

Postural Stress

Long hours at a desk or looking down at screens places excessive load on neck muscles, the primary driver for non-traumatic cervicalgia.
