Why continue suffering from shoulder impingement syndrome?
We have a treatment plan for patients in Near South Side.
At Regeon Bone and Body Institute, we combine Limfa® Therapy, physical therapy, and targeted strength training to address the root cause of your pain and restore lasting mobility.
Understanding shoulder impingement syndrome
Shoulder Impingement Syndrome occurs when the tendons of the rotator cuff become pinched or compressed as they pass through the narrow space beneath the acromion (the bony roof of the shoulder). This continuous friction causes severe inflammation.
For our Near South Side patients, this usually translates to sharp, catching pain when trying to reach overhead or put on a jacket. Rather than simply resting, effective treatment requires a combination of rapid inflammation reduction using Limfa® Therapy and postural correction to open up the shoulder space.
Overhead Pinching
A sharp, pinching pain felt at the front or side of the shoulder, typically triggered by raising the arm above shoulder level.
Weakness and Catching
A feeling of sudden weakness or a 'catching' sensation in the shoulder when lifting objects or reaching backwards.
Pain at Rest
As the inflammation worsens, a continuous dull ache can persist at rest, making it difficult to find a comfortable position down the arm.
